It suits couples and solo travellers who want a quiet few days: a long walk, a good lunch, a film from the projector in the evening.

  • Kitchenette with two rings, kettle, toaster and a Nespresso machine
  • Warm croissants outside your door every morning
  • Local bread, butter, jam and nibbles, with milk, freshly squeezed juice and fizz in the fridge
  • Fast wifi, with a desk added on request for working trips

The village

Shere, in the Surrey Hills

Shere is one of Surrey's prettiest villages, known for its countryside and as a backdrop to the film The Holiday. The annexe is quiet and central, a short, pretty walk from the village, and it backs onto fields where you may see sheep or cows, depending on the time of year.

The home of The Holiday

Shere is the backdrop to the much loved film, so parts of the village will look pleasantly familiar.

Cafés and pubs

Two minutes on foot to the village square, with good coffee, lunch and a pub supper close by.

Walking from the door

Footpaths lead straight out into the Surrey Hills. Boots on, no car needed.

Cycling

Quiet lanes and trails begin on the doorstep, so bring the bikes.

The church and the spire

St James' Church, with its tall shingled spire, is the landmark of the village and a few minutes away.

Yes. There is fast wifi, and we can add a desk if you are on a working trip. Just let us know before you arrive.
